Datasheet The MNDG-24 (ZUB-A1287) is a compact and easy-to-use USB dongle, supporting ZigBee / IEEE 802.15.4 network applications as well as proprietary protocols. The ZUB-A1287 is based on the AT90USB1287 controller [1] and the AT86RF230 2.4GHz radio chip [2] from Atmel. The PC connection is handled through the AT90USB1287 USB interface using a Virtual COM Port mechanism. The rich feature set of the AT86RF230 chip allows the module to be used with proprietary protocols as well. The AT90USB1287 serves as a freely programmable protocol controller. In addition to the free development software like GCC and AVR Studio, low-cost programmers are available on the market. The ZUB-A1287 is sold with standard AT90USB1287 bootloader and RF Toolbox tool [3] preflashed. On the bottom side there are highly integrated SMD pads to provide connection to In-Circuits Application Development Board (ADB) [4]. The ZUB-A1287 snaps into the ADB to connect the JTAG pins, ISP pins and a few IO pins. |
