The reprogrammable flash memory contains embedded firmware for serial cable replacement using the Bluetooth SPP profile. Other popular Bluetooth profiles are available. We are able to quickly customize the firmware for external device interaction, or for optimizations such as minimal power consumption, high speed response, custom audio, and other proprietary features. KC Wirefree modules come standard with our powerful kcSerial firmware. Controlling the module is easy through any terminal software program. Communicating with the module is simple with ASCII AT-style commands. Standard Host Command Interface (HCI) firmware is supported. However, since HCI bypasses most of the embedded functionality and value in the KC-11 modules, we recommend less costly modules without flash memory and micro processors. KC Wirefree offers custom firmware services, eliminating the need for customers to perform firmware or parameters installation on production line, reducing significantly the production cost, time and complexity. 32 Pins
