Datasheet Embedded Systems are being increasingly used to monitor the status of both fixed and mobile assets, including capital equipment, stock and human resources. These systems require low cost, low power equipment capable of capturing media and logging location data and sensor readings (directly or via local radio links) and communication with control facilities via local radio and GPRS networks. The Assets Monitoring Development Platform is intended for rapid development of Asset monitoring systems. It is comprised of an eCOG1K motherboard with interchangeable plug-in hardware modules. This is driven by a layered modular software architecture that removes significant low level complexity from the design process, and supports module interoperability and information interchange. |
