SMART Metering
Adaptive Modules provides complete wireless SMART Metering applicaitons and prodcuts. Connecting using a combination of local meshed networked devices (Meters) and master GPRS - 3G stations to send data back to a central server / database for web based application viewing. Working with Local councils and utility partners we have proved our solutions and technology for many years. Wireless M-Bus - The Radio Standard for Smart Metering Applications. The market liberalisation and its technical consequences; As a result of the liberalisation of the energy markets and the related changes in the legal framework conditions, distribution providers will have to face immense challenges. One major characteristic of the new legal framework conditions is that distribution providers must be organizationally and legally severed from production, transmission and trade of energy. The intention of this seperation is to guarantee an EU-wide open market for electricity and gas through a non-discriminatory network access for industry, commercial and residential customers, and enhance transparency in the calculation of network access charges. In liberalised energy markets the commercial success of a distribution provider can only be ensured and enhanced through an extensive optimization and automation of all business processes and the development of new business areas. This includes both Automated Meter Reading (AMR) and Automated Meter Management (AMM), which enable the companies to automate their metering activities substantially. AMR will be supported by means of wireless data transmission based on the Wireless M-Bus standard. Wireless M-Bus is the open standard for Automatic Meter Reading applications in Europe. The standard (EN13757-4:2005) specifies the communication between water, gas, heat and electricity meters and data concentrators/Multi Utility Communication (MUC) systems. The standard comprises various operating modes (S, T and R) to meet the requirements of one-way and two-way data communication in stationary and mobile systems. Data is transferred via Low Power Radio at 868 MHz. AMBER provides various wireless M-Bus solutions. |
